In order to earn an ROTC scholarship the following test must be taken and passed:
1. A medical exam
2. The Air Force Officers Qualifying Test (a standardized test similar to the SAT and ACT measures aptitudes and includes some aeronautical based questions.
3. A Physical Fitness Test (PFT) requires a number of push-ups and sit-ups completed within a minute and a mile and a half run in 12.5 minutes.
Passing these three tests may earn you a scholarship that pays:
• up to $15,000 each year towards your tuition,
• $350 – $500 monthly tax free stipend depending on your classification and
• $900 each year toward your books!
